Web Accessibility Standards

As standards evolve, the Division of Continual Learning strives to make the UNCGiCampus site and all online courses as accessible as possible. We incorporate the following W3C accessibility guidelines into our pages and are constantly updating:

Alt tags with descriptions of each item to provide meaningful content to the user
Color usage so that a colorblind user can navigate and understand each page
Pages are understandable without the use of style sheets
"Skip to" links are used to bypass common navigational elements
Image maps are always created as client-side instead of server-side
We provide text equivalent for animated elements
Forms are designed and tagged for those using assistive technologies
